Booking your event:
Please confirm your event on our schedule as soon as possible. Our calendar fills quickly and we are not always able to take parties on short notice.
As a general guideline, we request that the date, menu, estimated guest count, and timeline is received 7 days prior to the event.
Final orders and special requests must be made no later than 3 business days prior to the event. We may not be able to accept changes within the 3 day window.
We have a minimum spending of $250 for breakfast, $250 for lunch, $300 for appetizer parties and at dinner parties. Tax, Delivery, Service Fees, and gratuity are in addition to the minimum charges.
The prices listed in our menu include high end disposable tableware for catered items.
Delivery, set-up, and pick-up, if required is $35. After 7:30pm, an After Hours Pick-up is applied, which starts at $35. Delivery fees may vary for events out of the Lansing area, or for events that require multiple deliveries/pick-ups.
Linen and Rentals:
Buffet linen in white or black are available for a fee. We have a large in-house inventory of linen, china, glassware, and flatware. If you are interested in renting any of these items, we would be happy to get you a quote.
For the health and safety of our customers, and for liability reasons, we do not package leftover food for our clients. We do not provide to go containers. All food leftover at the scheduled pick-up time will be taken by the catering staff and discarded in an appropriate way.
If you would like our experienced servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to remain on-site during your event, your quote will include either an hourly labor fee and 5% gratuity, or 25% service fee and gratuity. These fees are used to cover the hourly wages for our servers, kitchen staff, and managers for your event.
Bartending and Alcohol Service:
Morton’s Fine Catering does not carry a liquor license, and may not sell or provide alcohol for catered events. The liability of serving alcohol remains with the client. However, bartending services are available. Our staff are properly trained in Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM).
Deposits are not required for all events. Please discuss the deposit with our coordinator, or refer to your catering proposal.
